Dave Ramsey is cult leader that takes control of weak minded young adults. I have no idea why there are so many young adults that act like they don't know why they are broke. The idea of spending to much at the bar is a ground breaking realization that will cause their new lives success.

The only reason you will tell yourself you are only going to spend money for one drink is because its a reason for guilt free pleasure. Its such an inconvenience to make multiple dashes to the atm. Or even worst case all the way back home to get your atm card to run to the atm again.

I have never regretted spending too much at a bar. Although I have felt bad about being broke later on that week because I ran out of money.
